Burning Calories At Home on the Adjustable Step

My NordicTrack adjustable step
I bought a stepper a couple of years ago and used it twice in that period of time. I just realized that my stepper is collecting dust and I decided to pull it out again this weekend. I warmed up on it for ten minutes before I went outside to walk and I plan on using it for full workouts.

The adjustable step comes along with a workout video which has intermediate and beginner steps. The step has 6'' to 10'' adjustable positions. For beginners, like me, it is recommended to start off at 6'', following along to the beginner steps. Work your way up to the 10'' for more of a challenge.

The DVD is a plus to add variation to your routine and you can workout at your own pace. Include dumbbells for more of a challenge which can be used for toning your arms while stepping.

150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic exercise per week is recommended. Cardio workouts - which can include this stepper - are aerobic exercises. Remember, during cardio workouts, your heart works hard, you burn more calories and over time you build endurance.

Product: NordicTrack adjustable step fitness kit
Why I like it: 6'', 7'', 8'', 9'', and 10'' adjustable positions
Use for: Fat burner, shaping and toning
Other exercises on the step: crunches and push-ups
Price: $50 (I purchased it at Sears)
Bonus: 1 cardio workout DVD

The stepper raised to 10''
